88 k5 won't crank - 11/9/2006 4:36:50 AM    Lunchbox   Posts: 1 Joined: 11/9/2006 Status: offline I can't get my truck to crank. I have checked the fuel pump. I have also reaplaced the fuel filter, Engine Computer, MAP sensor, Fuel Relay, and any blown fused under the dash. The motor cranks right up when I shoot ether into it. What else could it be? RE: 88 k5 won't crank - 11/21/2006 3:47:16 AM    astroman   Posts: 2 Joined: 11/19/2006 Status: offline hi! when i turn engine over with outer manifold off there is the injector unit i have removed pipes and poppet valves and let them hang loose and there is no fuel coming out of them when i turn over engine,i have a 12volt supply going to injector unit,i have replaced unit with one off another van and still no fuel coming out of pipes. thanks for help wayne. I checked everything but it ended up being the piece in the distributor cap. I cant remember what it was called but it is a small rectangle piece. Check that and it could fix your problem. My 88 K5 started choking and then it would not start. I checked the same stuff you did and finally figured it out. Hope this helps. (in reply to astroman) Post #: 7
