1996 tahoe transmission

I have a 1996 Tahoe with a 5.7L, 4L60e transmission that wants to die when you go to stop. What would make it do this?

Maybe the TCC is not releasing. Does it act like you are driving a manual transmission car and not pushing in the clutch at a stop? If so, The TCC is not releasing.

It does act like your stopping with out pushing in on the clutch. It was rebuilt with every thing new except the case and very few other parts because we were going down the interstate when it decide to blow all the tranny fluid out the back of the tahoe. Then it worked great for about 25miles till the radiator cooling tank spung a leak. I had it flushed out and replaced all the soleniods except the TCC. Thank you very much..........

if the lock-up 4 the torque converter is sticking on, wait 'til the trany cools down, then unplug the lock-up. when the truck warms up next time the trany won't lock up & stall when u stop. ***DON"T WAIT LONG TO FIX THIS***, if this does stop the problem, it will create another-burned clutches. your trany will continue 2 slip while driving & end up costing u a rebuild.
