In the early morning when it is still cold outside(45 degrees or lower). After starting the car, there is a loud �whap whap whap� noise, sounding like it�s coming from the dashboard area. The engin shakes and bucks. This just started a few days ago. Once the the outside temperature gets into the mid 50's or above, the car starts/performs A-OK and purrs like a kitten.

Thanks for any insight into this.

have you checked the simple stuff
like oil level
belt condition
transmisson level (if you can)

also you said under the dash is the heat on when u start the car and what setting is it on
trying doing something different on the settings when you start to see if its something in that area

I will try what you suggested. I will have to wait till the early AM as the car functions well when the temp. is above 55. THe car only has 35,000 miles on it and I have always changed oil every 3000 miles. Problem started suddenly a week ago. Thanks for your suggestions
