ORIGINAL: Janaelen I don't have the curb assist function or illumination so if anyone can add to this thread on how to get those functions working, I'd greatly appreciate it! I couldn't find it but I seem to remember something about the vehicle needing memory seats in order for the auto tilt (curb assist) to work for the mirrors. I don't have that feature either after installing the mirrors For the puddle lamps (this is the way mine work too) From ZX in a post over a year ago -- After reading the tech spec's it's clear that the designed operation of these lights (puddle lamps under mirrors) is to only illuminate during entry when the RKE is used to access the vehicle. I'm not sure why the lighting engineers decided to do this but I'll see if I can find out….just sounds a little odd or maybe even a simple oversight. Another update, the lamps do work when using the unlock on the transmitter, so the only thing I'm missing is the curb assist (tilting of mirror on reverse).. And to think... All I wanted was turn signal mirrors... Now I'm complaining about features I don't really need, but can't do with out. Go figure.

I'm taking this job on this weekend. The only thing that sucks is that my passenger side mirror i bought from ebay has no puddle light. I'll look for another one i guess.

Does anyone have the current product numbers for the DL3 folding mirrors and module. Also if I just want the signal mirrors can I just plug them into the existing harness on my LT1 or do I need to purchase the module and get the reprogramming?

If you don't want the power folding mirrors you don't need the new DDS switch the signal will work fine.

Joined the forum after reading this thread and I for sure have new hope in doing this mod to my 08 Silverado. Can someone confirm that this will work on the Silverado? And what part numbers I will need?

BLKDOUTSILVY like I mention on my prevouis post It can be done the only part number that I have right now is the Drivers Door Module GM part# 15906881 the mirrors you can get them off e-bay yes make sure there the DL-3 ones I got mines for $170.00 and they were in execellent condition. Now once you have everything install your mirrors & your new dds take it to the dealer to have it program. I don't know which Silverado you have LT-1 or 2 package but if the program does not work they need to program your DDS on another car that has the power folding mirror option then put it back on your car then everything works. That how mines ended up working and so far everything is working perfect. If you look at prevouis threads it will tell you how to uninstall & reinstall your mirrors & the DDS.
