How does the technician flash the DDM & PDM? I'm sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but It seems whenever you add a part you have to take to the dealer to program it (door mirrors, fog lights, 20" wheels, etc...)

Is there a connector underneath the dash they connect to? I'm curious...

Almost directly under the steering column and clear under the dash there is the connector where they plug the Tech-2 tool into

I am sure the tool is way big $$$$ and you probably will have a hard time finding one for sale.  Make friends with your service manager and maybe he/she will hook you up.

The Tech2 interface unit by itself will do you no good.  All it does is interface your vehicle with a local PC which in turn interfaces to GM's SPS (Service Provisioning System).  The SPS is the repository for the code that is downloaded to your vehicle -  You need a login ID  (authorized dealer) to be able to access SPS.

Tech2 units are ~ $3K new, cheaper on Ebay.  But as I stated earlier, they will do you no good unless you are a GM dealer.

Hello,
I am new to this forum. I was wondering if anyone had figured out if it is possible to make the auto tilt feature would when adding the power fold, auto tinting, signal mirrors? My truck came with power, heated mirrors and I am trying to get all the ammunition possible before I visit the dealer to get the correct flash or whatever I need. Thanks in advance.

Went to another dealer and they got it all done...everything works great and love the safety of the turn signal mirrors and power folding mirrors help me fit into the garage easier with 2 cars.

I have a 99 Silverado.  I am trying to swap out my power mirrors for newer models that have the power-folding feature and dimming, I believe.  The drivers mirror has 4 wires in one connector and 1 wire in another connector.  the passenger had 5 wires in one connector.  I have figured out how to get it to move in all directions, but do not know how to do the power fold.  I was thinking it is a combination of buttons.  I am doing this off of the truck; are you telling me that they will not work on my truck without having the something programmed?

I am planning the installation of power folding mirrors on my ’07 Tahoe LT2.  The part numbers have changed since konasmrz posted a step-by-step tutorial in December ’06.  At that time, the parts were LH DL3 mirror – 15882682, RH DL3 mirror – 15882683 and Drivers Door Switch (DDS) module – 15093440.  Can anyone help me with the current part numbers to outfit a ’07 Tahoe LT2 with power folding mirrors?  Thanks for your help.
