im thinking of buying an ssr, i was wondering are there any websites that sell aftermarket exterior or interior parts and accessories. I'd like to find a black one with the 6.0 and the 6 speed. then I would add on chrome wheels, really dark window tint, maybe black out the headlights and change all the chevy emblems to red instead of the goldish silver color. any thoughts or opinions would be great.

The SSR's have a horrible power weight ratio. They are so heavy, get a turbo.

I found the following cons in SSR
Stability control and crash test data is not available
Seat controls can't be operated without opening the door.

There is an override for the 08 SSR seat controls.

It has a cool and retractable hard top.
But yes it's heavy and expensive.

Hi
I'm an SSR owner, and it's the greatest vehicle I have ever driven.

I like Chevy as much as the next guy, even sell them, but you want a performance truck, buy a lightning, or a SS 1/2, the SS outperforms the SSR......even a new Vortech Max, or better still a Denali, they have the 6.2 with 6 speed tap shift and go like mad.....
