Well on the 1989 Corsica (6 cyl) I owned there was a way in which you could short two pin holes of your data connector (The propreitary GM one that came bfore OBD) and turn the key forward one position (pre-start) and it would flash your engine code light in a sequence similar to morse code. I only had to/needed this technique once, having not used it in a while, I'd reccomend talking to someone at AutoZone/O'Reilly/Napa/etc who has done this before.

Ok, shortly after typing up my last reply, I found this:

quote:

"Is your engine light on? If so under the dash just to the right or left of the steering colum you have a plug/connector with nothing hooked to it. It may have a cover on it. It will be a 12 pin connecter. If you jump the top 2 on the right side, then turn the key on the light should flash once, long pause, twice short pause. That is a code 12, that means you are into the diagnostics, it will flash that 3 times, any code after is what is wrong. If you call Auto-Zone or Advance Auto Parts they should be able to tell you what the code means."

I would double check that your connector in your 1995 matches this one before attempting, but this is the technique I attempted to outline in my last post.

more information (from a 1990 Corsica) is also here:
