Just an update. Dent wizard guy commented that he hadn't seen an 07 tahoe yet without the dents on the top, before the curve (i also had dents after the curb going towards the grill). He said that he couldn't pop the dents on the top because of the connection/glue(?) in that area for the latch catch housing. I will have to live with them. Having a black tahoe doesn't help and you do have to get down and look across the hood to notice them. I just don't want them to get worse as I take my car in for oil changes and such.

These issues are the kind of feedback Chevy needs to hear. Every time a new model comes out, the following years improve upon those issues. (most of the time) Unfortunately, we are the guinea pigs for them.

So far I haven't noticed any dents, but my truck is super dirty right now. As far as the under hood light, I'd love to see that added. I don't think my old Burban had the underhood light either, but damn it would be nice to be able to see when checking the oil or jump starting the car at night.

Viper

You obviously haven't driven a Viper.
It's got good looks and brute force (not quite like a Z06 though).
What a Viper doesn't have is "refinement" they are archaic, offer few creature comforts and take both feet to depress the clutch.

Dave:

It's kinda funny, but a friend of mine has a dodge truck, first off he won't tow my trailer with it because he is afraid it's not a "tough enough truck", the other funny thing is he won't let me lean against it because he is afraid I'll dent it. I lean against my truck all the time, and so far not a dent. (I still haven't checked my hood.)

Jason,

You can lean on your truck, just dont open the hood and close it, hahahahahahahaha!

schorner,

I dont like your information. If these dents cant be removed I will be mad for sure. The dent guy looked at mine yesterday and gave me a quote. All he did was look at them but he acted like they could be removed. However, I am like you. I am sure they will happened again. I guess i will find out what can/cant be removed next week when he attempts to remove them. They better be able to get them removed or I will put the tahoe through the dealers front showroom windows and then we will talk a little more about it! It is poor enough that i have to pay for it, but even worse if they cant be removed. If they get removed I may remove the strut and just use a stick to hold the hood up when needed. If I get a design for a good piece of wood, I would sell it to you guys cheap! Hell, I might even be able to get a job at GM once they see my creativity with a stick! We would call it the GM dent free hood stick!

Dave,
Even when i try and close the hood as you have described, and how the TSB explains it still seems to have a lot of pressure. Is this how it should be? It really doesnt matter how you do it, it always feels the same and has the same amount presssure. I havent clsoed another one to know, but is this how everyones is?

Yep, the hood strut is strong, even though it may not feel like it does anything lowering it and waiting a few seconds does relieve some pressure from the strut, the main thing in-a-nutshell is too not force the palm of your hands into the hood when you close it, it's that simple.
