I put a 95 3.1 engine in my 96 lumina. I understand the 95 uses a 3X sensor and the 96 uses a 7X. Will a 7X sensor work in the 95 engine? Right now I am using a 3X sensor and the motor is running very rough and chugs. It is also running very rich and misfires. I believe the ECM requires signals from a 7X, but is the 95 crankshaft compatible with a 7X sensor? Can anybody help me understand this.

Thanks

Call Your local dealer and talk to the service manager.
