wimpy horn?

so my mom just managed to get out of her impala lease in which she got screwed so bad, and ended up deciding to do the dealership a favor and buying a new car from them. she ended up buying a 08 silverado ls regular cab, and decided to give it to me when i'm 16 because i ride bikes and it'll be nice to haul bikes around, and also because i'm going into welding and i need a truck to be a welder. i love the truck, it's ****ing sweet, but i think something's wrong with the horn. when it goes off, it's really high, and doesn't sound like both horns are going off. i know on alot of cars and trucks there's a deep horn and a high horn, so maybe only the low horn is going off on mine?

oh yeah, do leveling kits affect the ride at all? and what size tires will they accomodate?

well the horn sounds like its going out to me but im not a horn expert so i would just get a new one. as for the leveling kit it depend on how much it takes to get it level if its around three inches i bet u can put 33's on it mybe probly wouldnt quote me on that

I was planning on getting one of those.  The OEM horn on the truck doesn't fit the truck.  I was looking at trying to get one at 120 db.  I think currently the OEM horn is at least 80 - 84 db's?

2" leveling spacers wont affect the ride quality, but make sure you get an alignment after you install them so your tires dont wear in the wrong places. Im pretty sure you can get the equivelant of 32" tires on the truck. Thats what I had and it looked good, I used BFG all terrains. You may be able to fit 33"s but you might have to trim your bumber skirt.

Have you done any playing with it yourself, have some one hitting the horn with you looking to see which one maybe malfunctioning?

I read on a sportbike site that the FIAMM horns are a lot louder.  I had originally picked up a Blazer Horn that stated it was 132 db, but decided to take it back after reading that forum and didn't want to change the connector from what the stock one has.

From what I've read, PepBoys has this one:
