will this center console fit?

Need to buy a center console and saw this one on ebay, it came out of a silverado 3500 and it measures 6 inches longer than the one out of the tahoe. Before i bid i want to make sure it will fit. Thanks

If it measures 6in longer, wouldn't it be 6in too long?  I may be missing something though..... 

Do you mean it measures 6 inches longer than the Tahoe center console, or that it measures 6 inches longer than the Tahoe jump seat?
 
I have a Tahoe and hubby has a Silverado (1500). Consoles are same.

I wouldn't imagine them making two different consoles.  It dosen't really look any bigger than the Tahoe's.  The mounting points seem to be in the right area.  However that open area furthest towards the front of the vehicle would be under the dash of the Tahoe.  So maybe that's the only difference.  The front fascia where it slides on the vent ducts looks the same as mine.  I switched my jump seat with a console and it went pretty smooth.
