Will 1998 rims fit properly on a 2004 Malibu classic?

Hi, does anyone know if the stock wheels and tires from a 1998 Malibu LS will work properly on a 2004 Malibu classic?  thanks

Yes they should.  GM changed the bolt pattern with the new body style. As long as you have the old style you should be ok.
 
I know this becuase I bought a 2006 Malibu maxx and tried putting on the wheels from my 2001 Malibu. They did not fit. I

  I have a set of aluminum spokes from a 1998 that I am trying to refinish so I can put them on my daughter's 2004 Malibu Classic.   Thanks for the info. 

to tracerpix, i had the same problem, but vice versa. i tried to put the 07 SS wheels on my 00 Bu and no dice but for 04cad, like tracerpix said no problem whatsoever! thats what i love about GM, they keep the popular cars/trucks an extra year as "classic"!
