i want to put a better engine in my 88 camaro....it has a 305 now and want to upgrade...i hear alot about corvette engines......so whats the better route....and for now its a daily driver..

I think it would depend on what you want to do with it. Just about any small block should be a bolt in. I am partial to 350 4 bolt with 320 hp. You can get them from lots of different places. There is the whole issue of
pollution controls so where you live will be a big part of your decision. Corvette runs small blocks- what you have now is a small block - not very high performance is all. You could just modify your present engine and get alot more power - chevy are great there is endless options.

get the 350 block and heads of the same gen. they bolt in directly and use all of the same external parts, the power increase is well worth it.

What are you looking to get out of your upgrade? Are you going to keep it primarily for daily driving or make it more of a sporty time of thing? As far as I know the 350 block is height at which you can upgrade.

ls1 replacement. you will get some fuel economy.

I got a 86, I put in a 350 - 4 bolt main from a 90 chevy silverado. It bolted up to the tranny and every thing else.
