What can i drop under the hood?

I have a chance to get a mid to late 90s chevy blazer 2 door with a blown engine. what can drop under the hood? what will bolt right up? i have access to a 1994 4.3 but i wonder want other 4.3 engine years will blot right up...or just for kicks...any V-8s? Also, the owner wants $400...is this reasonable?

if the one your gonna buy has a blown 4.3 and you can get a 4.3 off a 94 blazer it will bolt right in and 400 dollars for a mid 90's blazer with a blown motor isnt a bad deal at all if its in good condition (other than the motor), hell if the 4 wheel drive all works its worth 500 any ways. I would grab it up if i had the chance and knew where to get a motor cheap

you can bolt a 305 or a 350 to the tranny thats on the 4.3l cause a 4.3l is more or less a 350 block that is missing 2 cyl. all depends on what you want to do

I would be careful about a v-8, it will bolt in but you may need a new rad, if you go fuel injection a computor, i don't know if 4.3 munt work or not. Call Summit. 1-800-230-3030. They also have an s10 v-8 swap book.
