Hello,

I have a 02 Z71 Ext cab I would like to replace the highway tires that are on it with an agressive A/T.  The stock size is 265/75/16 would a 285/75/16 be alright?  I drive around town and on the highway.  would it just be best to keep stock size?  I ride atv's and I need to get in and out of some muddy spots and the highway treads are not cutting it.  I haul a trailer and I don't want to lose any acceleration by going to a bigger size.  Is it worth it to have a bigger tire?  Any input would be appreciated.

I'd say a 285/75 /16 would fit, but you would have to get a leveling kit to lift the front about 2 inches so you won't get tire rub in the turns.  i had that size on my 96 Z in a Bridgestone Dueler AT REVO.  Excellent tire.  Good for on/off road, and wears nicely.  Doesn't make too much noise and not too bad a price.

the 285s should fit
if not stock should be ok maybe with a cpl. turns on the torshion bars.

I had 285's with a 2" leveling kit, looked great! I had BFG A/T's. They where great as far as tread wear, they lasted forever, but they werent very good off road. Procomp makes an aggressive A/T tire with a tread life warranty, ive heard lots of great things about them. www.4wheelparts.com
