Dirtywork,

Thanks, had the tail's & brake lights (med. tint), bowties, all done at the same time my 3/5 Mcgaughys drop kit was being installed at Billet Super Store in Anaheim Ca., they did a very good job on everything, check out there web-site www.billetsuperstore.com

Geez! I'm from Anaheim too and I haven't seen you around.  I will definatley check them out and get the lights and bowties done.  Yea, I noticed your hoe was lower than most of ours on the forum.  That is very low how's the ride?  I got the eibach spring kit installed at "the wheel warehouse" on La Palma and Anaheim Blvd.  I wish I would of known about billet first...

If you see me say wazz up!! but I don't usually drive it...my wife does.   If no response...you know why

I'm probably very naive but wouldn't it be relatively easy to build one from 3/4" plywood and cover with matching carpet from an automotive upholstry shop?  The reason I said 3/4" was so the sides of the box don't respond to the speaker.

Dirty, is that a custom built box?  Or a sub/box kit? I would like to find a dual 12" box that goes all the way along the back, yet still has a flat top to put things on.  Anyone found one out there yet?

Just a box kit...a friend of mine has three twelves in a custom box from one end to the other...I think his an 03 tahoe...haven't seen him around...I think he moved to Vegas.

The only thing that sucks is that I can't raise the volume without rattling the back fenders and plastic molding above the tail lights.  I had the trunk lid covered with Dynamat, because that too was rattling before.

One problem I have is that I dont have a lot of tools that I need to do the projects I want to to.  Maybe as I get older I will get some hand me down tools.  But i have no wood work/building tools at ALL.  If I had the tools I would lower my tahoe, and attempt to build a box. HOwever, I obviously dont have the required tools, and for all I know I may also lack the talent.

Shark, if you get bored some day and want to build me one I will pay for the material, .  I will eve drive to pick it up!

I'd take you up on if I had the time and could do some research on it.  I'm not even sure mine (stock under the console) is working.  On my TrailBlazer, I could shake the interior.

Alright Shark!  Next snowy Missouri day you know your task!  But please use 3/4" MDF board!  As I said, I will pay for it!

Dirty,

I live in Lakewood, as for the ride its ok, a little rough on big dips and bumps other then that it rides good, handles turns real good. Going to be installing some Doetsch Tech nitro-slammer shocks in the rear, and waiting on someone to come out with coilover front strut for our Hoes...

Right on! let us know how that works out for you.  Do you have link to the DTNS Shocks for the rears?

No tire issues at all, handles a lot better but ride is stiffer. Paid $275 for the kit and another $250 for install and alignment.

Where did you get the kit?  How long ago did you buy the kit?

The reason I asked is originally the kit was a 1.8/2.4 kit. Now they say it is a 2/2 kit.  I was just wondering which one you had.  Thanks.

The muffler looks nice since your Hoe is also Black.  I wonder what it would look like on my White Hoe though???  If anyone with a White Hoe does the paint job on the OEM muffler please post some pics.

To give you an idea here is a painted resonator on a none-black Tahoe...I have since sanded and polished the exposed tip for a chrome look.

Thanks for the post of the pics.  I guess it looks better than the ugly stock aluminum no matter what color the hoe is.  From the looks of pic #3 you have decided to paint the back wiper.  Let us know how it turns out.  Are you planning on the bowties too??

I like to point out that I painted my rear wiper FIRST.  That's where Biglg got his idea and info.

I know you guys are going to think I am going mad.  However, I am ready to sell my Precision Design Phat Grille that I just purchased and installed.  Nothing wrong with it, actually i love it.  However, I am going with the street scenes bumper.  Therefore I want my top grille section to match.

I will sell the Phat billet very reasonable!  In fact, if you guys dont want to mess with having to cutout the honeycomb I will just ship my entire grille to you.  Obviously you have to ship me your factory one in return!  Just let me know if you guys are interested.  I just paid 140-150 for the phat billet grille.  Make me an offer!  Thanks, Landon.

SHARK??????????????

OEM/GM front and rear molded mud flaps might be available also!  Like new!

Here are some pics!

SOLD 1/30/07!

I think that street scenes bumper is pretty sweet, but I just ordered a grille off ebay and don't want to have to try and sell it and buy another one!!!  Post some pics when you get the full grille/bumper installed!

You want the hi-density MDF?       Seriously tho, there's a lot of info we'd need.  Pics would definitely be helpful.  Would need to know speaker dimensions and mounting configuration.  Does it just sit on the floor or does it need to be attached?  My Infinity subwoofer for my home theater setup is down-firing with a passive port on one side.  Would need to know what size that is.

Not signing up for this right now but when time permits, wouldn't mind building the box.  You could get it covered then.

Damn shark, what a nice man you are.  Yes, MDF is the only wood to use for box building.  Back in my younger days when I had access to tools I built a few boxes.  NONE to brag about.  We wouldnt need this box ported either.  However, we would need the holes cut for each sub, and also a cut for each speaker wiring terminal!  I found this one.  It is almost perfect!  I wouldnt want it for 3 8's, I would want it for 2 12's.  I have an email into the guy, hopefully he will respond!  Obviously we would ignore the glass and make it all wood, however it gives you a great picture of what is going on!  Depending on your creativit and craftsmanship you could possibly make something similar using measurements from the back of your hoe.  It might only hold 2 10's, i havent measure around at all!  Dont worry about jumping on this too soon, I have way to much going on before I could ever spend the money for the subs and amp.  However if you are bored, and looking for something to do let me know.  I can get you the terminal cups and the specs on some speakers for the cutouts!  But seriously, dont jump on this lets let my pockets get emptier with the lowering kit, side skirts, grilles, and bumper!  Then let them refill with some golf winnings and we can think more about this box!  Finally, here is the link, if it works.

Oh no no no Shark.  This isnt the same one!  This one is 100% better than the one you have, and the one that I had.  I actually love it, but going for the street scene look.  It would be a good investment.  I promise it is beautiful!
