Over 50 years ago, my mother thought, "Hmmmm ...I wonder what cool screen name we could give to this child?"

So...there you have the history of it all.

Well, when I took delivery of my new to me 2005 Suburban, my husband burst out laughing.  The poor young salesman started to panic until my husband told him that we have Cadillac Escalade center caps on the truck.  He instantly said that we would get them fixed.

Until they were fixed, we started calling it the Chevrolac Suburbalade.  When we went in to get it fixed, they said, "We have a problem, you don''t have Cadillac center caps you have Cadillac rims and tires."  I thought, no, you have the problem, you can have it back!  They ended up fixing it.  But when I bring it in, all I have to say is "Hi, I need to bring my Suburbalade in for service" and they have my information up on the screen!

So, we still call it the Suburbalade!

lol You must mean Caddilac wheels?
Thats actually pretty interesting.

My dad''s truck has Rims from an 07 truck and his truck is a 96, but it has no nickname really except Horse, but thats only because it rides like one. lol

Well, mine is somewhat obvious as well.  But I''m new to the forum and I thought this was a good place to jump in.

I do have to ask:  Are Escalade wheels on a Suburban a bad thing?  I ask as the only person in the family without alloy rims on my ride.

Not a bad thing. As long as they fit, and they do.. they are fine.

I have a new username. I''m formerly EuroGoldLS, which was creating some confusion with people thinking I''m european when I''m referring to my euro lighting. EvansBlue is a culmination of my last name and Carolina Blue. Its also the name of a somewhat unheard-of alternative grunge band.
