S10 engine in a Beretta

Hey, i have a question... I need to know if a S10 engine would fit in what i believe is a '96 Beretta. The reason I am asking this is because my friend has the '96 Beretta and a rod is knocking so they bought it and they aren't sure if it it bolts right in or not... or at least without having to change piping and all that fun stuff.
