Run 8 guage wire through Firewall 1997 Lumina

Hello
I need to run a wire though a 97 Lumina firewall.  I am trying to avoid drilling a new hole if possible.  Actaully, I just need to get the wire to the battery, if there is an alternate way of doing so, please let me know.  I have read to follow the wire for the hood release and go through that hole, but i think that hole is to small.  I could drill a new hole, but I do not know what I may hit on the other side.  Any information is greatly apprectiated.

I figured this out.  Thought I would post my findings.
 
Next to the grommit for the Hood Open wire, I found 2 small indentions that looked like they where there possible factory bolts.  I was able to drill my hole through there and solved my problem.
