There isn''t too much to take pictures of as the module will be behind a panel in the cargo area.  The antenna will be put in the back cargo window on the drivers side.  Other than that there will just be the fob.  Again not too much to really take pictures of.

let us know how much bigger the new FOB is and if possible snap a few shots of the equipment they are going to install if they will let you

The equipment/module is the same size as the old one and fits in the same spot right behind the D pillar.  See the pictures in this post here: http://www.chevroletforum.com/fb.asp?m=14243

And here: http://www.chevroletforum.com/fb.asp?m=14502

I can take a picture of the fob up against the old one and post it.

When they showed it on Trucks, it appeared to be about 50% bigger than the regular fob.

I had the 2-way remote install done this morning.  I am told by the guys at the dealership, that GM told them I am the first person in the country with a 2007 Yukon XL to have this install done.  In fact they spent an extra 30 minutes on the phone with GM because they did not have a program number for it yet.

As 73shark was saying, the remote is ridiculously huge.  So much so if I had known ahead of time I probably would not have done the upgrade.  The screen will also be scratched up in no time flat.

As of right now, I am not too impressed with the system.  As soon as it was done I was standing not even 30 yards from the truck and the remote did not work.  I have already pulled the panel to make sure that all of the wires are plugged in properly and they seem to be.  I will keep testing it, and I will unwind all of the excess antenna wire the dealership wound up and tie strapped down.  I am hoping that will help.  The install instructions are very specific for antenna placement.  I would have done it near the top myself as I stated before.

I have a 7 page PDF of the install instructions, though only the first 2 pages are really install instructions, the rest seem to be just descriptions of what the system does.  If I knew how to put the PDF up on the site I would.

So as you can tell I''m not too cool on it at this point, but I''ll field test it over the coming days.

So far the results haven''''''''t been good.  I find that the 2-way remote is about the same if not worse when it comes to distance.  I''''''''ve troubleshot the system to no avail, and can''''''''t improve the results.  I thought it might be the antenna, but it doesn''''''''t seem to be.  The only other thing I can think of is that I have a defective unit.  On my Expedition, even though it wasn''''''''t a 2-way remote, there was a diversity antenna installed, and the results were day and night after I upgraded.  I could remote start and unlock the truck from SO far away.  I used to test it just to see how far it would work.  Sometimes I would be 4-5 blocks away, and on a fluke I would hit the button, by the time I pulled up to the truck it would be running.  I was just amazing.

With that said, I had high expectations for this 2-way remote with diversity antenna, and so far it''''''''s not living up to my expectations.  Hopefully some others on the forum with this upgrade and have different results.  I just don''''''''t understand it at this point.

They did a remote start at a measured 1,000 ft on Trucks.

I have a call into GM right now on the lack of distance on the remote.  I''ll keep you posted.

I just got an email from GM and they''re saying that it''s the tint on my windows, and that I need to cut out a little slit for it and stick it directly to the glass.  I just can’t see the tint making that big of a difference.  I had tint on the windows before this install, and even made my own extended range antenna, and it worked better than this diversity one.

Now if it is the tint though what I’m going to do, despite what GM says, is move the diversity antenna all the way up to the front windshield, just near the rearview mirror.  I pulled off the D pillar just to make sure no connections slipped out and I saw that there’s a bunch of slack that was wound up and zip-tied in a bundle.  I know there won’t be enough to make it to the front so I’ll extend it.  That way the entire run is acting as an antenna as well.

I''ll keep you posted.  So far, not so good though.

Window tints are metalized so its possible but I''m with you that sounds like bovine kaka...

what if you let a portion of the antenna hang out of the vehicle a foot or so for troubleshooting purpose, that way you removed the the inside of truck as the possible cause...

That exactly what I''m going to do before I move it to the windshield position.

Okay, I moved the antenna to the front windshield today.  Test results to come. I''m going to test it this weekend.  I plan on testing it in the same parking lot in the same positions, and distances.

I am officially done with the 2-way remote system.  I tested it over this past weekend and I get no distance out of it at all.  It''s a total disappointment.

I pulled the 2-way remote module out of the truck and put back in my original remote start/RKE module, but I did leave it connected to the diversity antenna.  I''m going to test it from the regular spot this Sunday.  I do have to say it''s so much nicer having my small FOB back in my pocket.  That 2-way remote was the size of a cell phone.
