I want to put red rally stripes on my 1994 Z28 Camaro (down the hood and down the rear deck) and would like to know if I should put one of the Vinyl tape kits on or have a auto body shop paint them on.  Does anyone have any comments/experiences (good or bad) as to which way I should go?  The vinyl kits cost about $200 and not sure what a paint shop would charge (anyone know?).
thanks,

Dont know the price but I would go with the paint job, better quality worth the extra money.

I personally, would never put vinyl on my car.  Paint is definitely the way to go!  It'll cost a considerable amount more, but that's the price you pay for quality. One of the pros of getting paint vs. vinyl is - if you get a scratch in vinyl, you'll have to replace it whereas paint would just need to be clearcoated again or you'd just buff it out.  Vinyl also could crack/fade in the sun over time.  Not sure on the cost.  Sorry.

Hope that helps.

Painting your car would probably cost more but the result is incomparable. Never sacrifice quality for money!
