My new 2007 Monte is getting ready to hit 500 miles and I'm going to dump the oil,,I've decided to stay with a conventional oil and not syntheic cause I'll be changing the oil once every 3 months and I think that regular oils are fine as long as the correct weight is used.
and a good oil ---castrol---shell fire and ice--ect...
Any way all this new talk about oil filters with magnets on them or buying the magnet ring . I am a longtime user of WIX filters cause Nascar use's them and the local auto shop sells them..
Thought's on what filter I should use on this engine.. 5.3 8cyl this engine also does that swtiching between 4/8 cyl depending on how I'm driiving.
