Need to make another key..

I bought a 2004 1500 Z71 EC last Monday. I will say, I absolutely love this Truck!!!
 
After I got it, I realized that it came with only 1 key and 1 key fob. I'm not worried about the key fob, but I would like to make a set of extra keys. My question is...can I go to the local Home Depot or Lowes and get a key made and use it, or do these keys have a microchip in them to where I have to program the key to mate with the truck?

I do know that if you go to a delership its like $50 for both. But im not too sure about the chip.

I talked to the dealership and the key does not have a chip in it. So I can go to HD or Lowes and get a new key made for a few bucks. Thanks for the help!

Did you know that for double-side keys, that you can have each side cut for a different vehicle, so that one key will work in two vehicles, as long as both take the same blank?
