I have a 2006 Tahoe with the Sun & Fun Entertainment system and the Touch-Screen Navigation system. When a DVD is playing in the Entertainment system I can control the sound through the Touch-Screen system, but I can not display video on the screen. My wife usually sits in the front passenger sit and my children sit in the back seats. I would like my wife to be able to watch the video (she can already hear it). I understand the reasoning for not displaying the video - do not want to distract the driver, but is there a way to override the default system and display video for the passenger?

I'm not sure if Chevy's system is set up this way or not, but some of those systems that shut off video while driving can be over-ridden by making the system think the parking brake is on.
Try it...turn on a video, put the truck in gear (video goes out), then put on the parking brake (while you're still in gear sitting in the driveway). Does the video come back on? If so, then what you need to do is find the switch for the parking brake and make it so that the truck thinks the brake is on (i.e close the switch). Of course, this will illuminate the BRAKE warning on your dash, but at least the video will be on.
