Does anybody has an LS with no body side molding?
I got my LS last July with no BSM and according to chevrolet website it is a standard item and not an option.

www.chevrolet.com has a few error’s, it is maintained by an outsourced company.
The Color keyed body side moldings (B85) is actually a $100 option on the 2007 LS model Tahoe.

ZX110F1, if it is a mistake , then they have to correct that data in the website , for now , they have to supply me the BSM since that is clearly stated as a standard item in the website , dont you think so?

Hey Angel, Just in case you can't get this resolved with Chevy, heres an ebay link to buy the mouldings. I don't know if the price is better than the dealer, but maybe this will help...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-CHEVY-TAHOE-BODY-SIDE-MOLDING-OEM-PAINT-MATCH_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33654QQihZ012QQitemZ220015414593QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

I live near a dealer holding lot and counted 12 LSs....none of them have the mouldings.

Good luck with your situation, I hope you prevail.

Escalon, thank you for your concern, that place is selling it for $200.
I talked to GM and they said it is standard item after built 6/30/2006 of the tahoe.
The problem is, in the website they didnt mentioned after "BUILT" 6/30/2006 which is a misleading statement.

Thats means none of the LS you saw at the parking were built after 6/30/06.

or could this BSM could be a dealer installed item and not from the factory?

If not I guess thats a way to know if you are buying an old stock Tahoe.

I think they really built a sh--load of Tahoes before initial release and many are still on the lots. The lot near me has probably 50 or 60 and most of them seem to have been there well before I bought mine in late May. I bought mine in So Cal and the production date is early February 2007. So I bet many of the units sitting around now were built in February thru May. Just a guess, and I bet it varies for different locales throughout the country.

I don't know whether I've ever see an LS with side mldgs. It's funny, but 10 years ago we were all dechroming trucks, burbs, tahoes. Even years ago when I used to build Cal Look bugs, all the chrome came off the exterior. Now the factories have caught up with the trends and have gone monochromatic and sleek, and we want to bling them up with chrome and stuff. I guess we just want to be different and avoid the status quo.

Anyway, good luck.

Hmm, I was wondering why my Tahoe didn't have the color matched BSM. I'll have to pick some up. They help with preventing door dings, plus they look better than the black ones that came on the old body style LS Tahoes.

Any body have a part number for these?

No I don't!
Did the Tahoe have the body side moldings on it when you test drove it and signed the paperwork?

The exact day of the change to B85 being standard on LS models was build on and after 6/17/2006 The base MSRP of the Tahoe (4X4's ) also jumped from $36,915 to $37,100 so YOU DID NOT PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT YOU DIDN"T GET!

No interest here but if you look, you'll see that he was replying to someone else (angel95...). The posts are in chronological order, not necessarily next to post being replied to.

Was that for me, do you have to SHOUT.

At the website it is stated the following:

Not available until June 5, 2006 , at which time it becomes standard equipment.

Check out the website address below and scroll at the bottom of the page to see the actual statement above which is a footnote of standard and optional item for 2007 Tahoe:

So they also made a mistake on the date, it is not June 5, 2006 but June 17, 2006.

So you better ask them to change the statement to:

Not available until BUILD June 17, 2006 , at which time it becomes standard equipment.

Youl also said it is $100 option.

$37,100 - $36,915 = $185 .

You also better tell them to correct the adjusted price should be $37,015 and not $37,100.

There is a difference between SHOUTING and just adding emphasis to a statement”!”

Chevrolet's web site's is close enough to cover the information that the average Joe is going after, the hyper critical on the other hand cannot be pleased.
And who said that the price increase was solely to cover the body side moldings?
