I am looking to see some pictures of various IPOD set ups (cradles, mounts, power source connection, etc...)  with and without factory Nav.  Thank you for your time.

Get the Ipod adapters for factory Head Units.  I have one with my after market Nav. a cord comes down through the center console and up to the center glove department.  I just keep it in there and I use the navigation to operate the ipod.  I get to listen to Songs, Albums, Genre, and Playlists.  I have the Eclipse AVN 6600.  I used to have the one you plug into the lighter socket and it sucked for me.  Here in So. California there is lots of radio stations and I couldn't get a station that had enough static to listen to my ipod.

Thanks for the info.  I do not have Nav, so what would my options be?

Hmmm...Good question...Anyone out there that has an Ipod set up without a Nav.  An uncle of mine doesn't have a Nav. either and wants to hook up his Ipod.  Sorry I couldn't help you on that one.  If i come accross something I will let you know.  Best Regards!

No problem.  I know I can use the Aux input for direct connection on front of my radio for my Ipod, but I would like a secure cradle / mount and charger connected to my dash hat I can throw my Ipod on.  Thanks for keeping an eye out for me.

I also have the aux wire to connect my ipod.  Please note: you will have to have a separate charger as this is not both; also i have noticed that while the reception is better than a transmitter, the volume will not go as loud with the aux wire!!

Did you try turning the Ipod all the way up? Mine wasn't very loud, but after I turned the Ipod to full it is now loud. Also, you may want to see if your Ipod has that max volume setting that they were going to put in due to some sort of lawsuits.

There's a jack on the front right next to the CD slot, on the right side of it.

I've never seen this gadget before but it looks like what you are talking about.  My I-pod just sits in front of my cup holders where its easily accessible.  I saw an earlier post where someone had a set-up similar to the one in the picture and the guy said he nearly wrecks trying to reach it to change songs, etc.  It looks like its more accessible to the passenger but anyway, i hope this helps.

jeffshelton12,
Thanks for the link.  Thats a strong contender in what I am looking for.  It looks very stable and looks to function with several different cradle holders.  I will do some research on this mount.

I purchased this unit from my local IPOD store and it works beautifully for the cost. Make sure you look at the one that has the line out option.  It also has a small swith on it that boosts the output.  I am very happy with this unit for a simple solution at a low cost.  Fits any IPOD product.  I have the combination CD/DVD unit, no nav, front AUX input.
