I just took my '07 Tahoe in for its 30k-mile service. Service guy calls me during the day and tells me that the water pump is leaking. Luckily, it's covered under warranty and I also have a free rental (under the new GM 5 yr/100k warranty). I'm surprised that the water pump is already leaking at 30k miles. Granted, this is my first Chevy, but I've never owned a car, domestic or import, that got a leaking water pump at this number of miles. 30K is relatively low miles to me. Anyone else had this problem with your Tahoe at 30k?

I just had to take my 2007 tahoe in for another reason - the car wouldn't excellerate over 10mph - apparentaly it was stuck in 4wd low. Wierd thing is I read this post yesterday after the tow truck came to try to find out if what was happening was a fluke or a common bad problem. Then my husband talked to the dealership today (we have 32,000 miles) and they told us we have a leaking water pump as well!!! Chevy should know about this problem - I don't think it should be happening this soon either!
Thank god for warranties =)!!!!
