ipod install in Center Console

I want to install an ipod in the center console using the Neucleus NC-X2iLAN. My idea is to run the ipod cable underneath the center console and drill a hole in the compartment and keep the ipod there, to allow easy access, instead of having it in the glovebox which is not so convenient.

My question is: How do gain access into the center console? does the trim piece that holds the cup holder pop out allowing access to the area underneath the console?
