We all have the same problem and PROBABLY the same responce from our dealer service departments. WHEN WILL THIS PROBLEM BE FIXED! Same responce during every 2-week call-in....."their working on it". It's like driving a Model-A FORD on a dirt road!
Has anyone been able to get through to a factory-rep.? ! ? !

I have noticed a clunk or noise when backing up and turning at the same time. Is this what you are referring to?

Currently....General Motors is not allowing the replacement of the intermediate steering shafts for this noise (binding)...the only solution they offer is to have the shaft removed, lubed with their special lube kit and re-installed. This is only a temporary solution and the clunk feel/noise will return inevadebly. The dealerships hands are tied.
If the dealership replaces the shaft under warrantee....They will not get paid from GM. The claim will kick back. Even replacing the shaft is only a temporary fix, as they all eventually make the noise.
