Impala radio

I just purchased used 2003 Impala. The last couple of mornings when I go to work the radio is on ( sation info on screen ) however no sound comes out. I attempt to adjust the volume and you came see the volume bar move but still no sound. About 10 min into the ride the sound will come on. I have only had the car a week. Any ideas ? Thanks.

sounds like a grounded speaker lead. Pull the radio, and test the speakers wires for a short to ground and repair accordingly
