hi, i'm completly new to this forum.

i live in europe/switzerland and currently have a 65 GTO, a 68 toronado and a 70 challenger...

and now a guy offers a 1968 chevrolet impala caprice for quite a cheap price. it has a 396 in it and the guy says it has no rust and new paint and is in a very good shape.

i find full size cars quite cool and like my toronado best of my 3 cars.

is this impala worth a sin? the sin to get a fourth car? are parts available? are there many of that year left over there in usa?

are there good links where i can find more about the history of this car? thanks for your comments!

the impala is a popular car among certain demographic groups here, mainly the "low-rider" folks...if it is very clean, i would go for it...

what engine is in the challenger?

thanks for the answer.

my challenger is a 440 sixpack with manual 4 speed.

this one suits well for the mountain roads we have here inswitzerland.

Yeah, those cars are still fairly plentiful over here. Probably over 500,000 of them made - what, about 50,000 probably remain?
Sounds like you have a nice fleet of automobiles.

Sounds like a rare car (396) check to see if it's a numbers matching.

They're great cars. Had a '69 Caprice wagon with 427 and it was wonderful. Put 4.10 gears in it for towing and it made the best stoplight to stoplight sleeper You ever saw.
