My recently bought '96 Suburban has something stuck in the barn door lock. The key only goes in about half-way. I assume something like a tooth pick was stuck in there and snapped off by someone. I tried spraying PB blaster in with a straw attached. I also tried raking it out with a small skill saw blade. Any other ideas besides taking the inside panel off and removing the lock cylinder?

IT MAY JUST BE A STUCK TUMBLER FROM NOT BEING USED JUST KEEP SPRAYING THE PB BLASTER EVERY COUPLE OF DAYS AND GO TO HARDWARE AND GET SOME GRAPHITE LOCK LUBRICANT AND PUT IN IT AND SEE IF THAT WILL FREE IT UP I'VE HAD GOOD LUCK WITH THAT

Does the key go all the in and just not turn or is something blocking the from going all the way in?

The key goes in about half-way. I've tried PB Blaster, wire, a small skill saw blade for raking it out, and it is no better.

Have you tried a locksmith for any ideas?

If the lube does not work, try compressed air if you can. A shot of 80 psi air may float it loose, or it may not.
I second the locksmith idea. If there is something in there, the tumbler may need to be disassembled...not something you want to try on your own without the tools and know-how. There are lots of teeny parts and springs to fly away.
