Anyone on here installed some HIDS. So it would like like the Escalade lights? If so what bulbs did you use, and whats the intensity (6000K or 8000K, etc...)

you can do a search for HIDs in this section and find some more info.

the bulb sizes are H11 and i did 6000k cause i didnt want to deviate from the pure that much.

the only issue i have with them is that when its cold outside only one light turns on and sometimes neither come on unless i keep turning the headlight switch on and off.

Thanks.. Do you think your issue with the bulbs not coming on are related to the kit that you purchased or is it related to truck? Do you have any pics of them on?

I have installed the 6k on mine. I purchased from xenondepot.com. I have had no problems with them. The only problem I have had is that one light will turn on. I think this is due to the fact that it was cold outside. I love the way the lights look. I get much complaments on them.

you need to install the lights using a relay and a direct connection the to the battery.  the initial amp draw is too high for the stock harnesses to keep up with.  most kits come with the wiring setup for a relay.

now if you are already using a relay system, then the problem with your cold starting is one of your ballasts is going out.

just do something like this: http://www.marlin-car.us/relay_30_headlight.htm

you dont need the 2 relays since you are only doing your low beams.  you can splice into either your left or right harness..you dont need both.   there is a terminal on the OEM battery clamp that you can hook into for the direct power feed.

Seems like the ballasts might be bad.  Simple plug and play.  You may want to call the company to find out why this happens.  I don't think this happens to cars that have the HID lighting stock.  The ballasts should take care of the power to the lights.

The bulbs also need a 10 minute burn in time when they are first turned on.  This will let the metal in the bulbs atomize completely so the next time they turn on.  When it burns in, almost if not all, the metal gets atomized at the same time.  If you don't, some will have been atomized and returned to the liquid state and some will still be in the liquid state.

But I got my kit for $200 shipped.  I got my boss obtain some sample kits because, "we are interested in selling your products, but we would like to see the quality of the lights."  So I got some left over. P.M. me if you want more information.
