I have a 2006 HHR with a factory roof rack. Is the rack removed from outside the vehicle, or do I have to take the headliner out to access it from inside the car? The reason I am asking is because there is a rattle at one of the attaching points--I believe I overloaded the rack causing distortion of one of the attaching legs.

The end caps on the rack snap off and there will be two bolts at each end.
