My son's '01 Impala 9C1 was losing power once he reached 50 mph. It also sounded like it would shift into neutral reving but with no add'l power. The Chevy dealer say's it was the catalytic converter. Just wanted to pass that along in case anyone has the same problem. The good news it was covered under warranty up to 80,000 miles!
