Do you mean to just take off the emblem and replace it with a polished / chrome unit? If so it's really easy... Just a couple bolts on the back of the bow tie that you can access from an opening in front of the core support and the new unit bolts right back in it's spot. The one I bought required the holes to be hogged out a bit with a drill to fit. The stock holes were a tad too far apart. Have you pulled the gold off of the rear bow-tie yet? Really easy & you end up with a perfect chrome piece. Just take an old credit card or something thin & plastic so not to scratch the finish under the gold piece. Wedge it under the corner and slowly pry the gold piece off. It's held on with an epoxy.
I'll post a few pic's of these mods within a day or so.

That looks slick! I like how he added the mesh grille in the bottom beside the headlights as well.

Looks just a tad too home-made for me.

I would like to see someone cut out the plastic that separates the top and bottom grill and replace it with one large piece of chrome mesh.

That looks good, probably alot of work though. Curious on how they did that, that is the same Tahoe that has the Halo Eyes on ebay.
Any more info would be great.
Thanks, jay

It's called a Denali.
Dont like the Denali front end and hate the Denali headlights. I have seen it done before on a Tahoe and it looked great but I cant find the picture. It was posted on one of the forums and cost alot of money since it was completely custom.

Thats the one that I seen... I looked everywhere for it. Only if someone would come up with an affordable solution that resembled that.
Asanti wants almost $4k for that grill kit... Thats crazy...

actually it is not a very hard modification.if you have any knowledge of fiberglass or bondo,or even better worked with any auto body repair or alternation it is easy to do. i thought about it but like dave said it just doesn't look right.

Speaking of Escalade grill..........Truckin Magazine put an escalde front end on a tahoe a few months ago, it looked pretty freakin cool.

Two things, one was why didn't they use Esky tails and two, for $20K n+ a Tahoe, you could buy a real one and have quite a bit of change leftover.
I realize that it was just an exercise.

Yeah, But for someone buying parts here and there from ebay and car-parts.com the front end could be changed for $1500 or less if they shopped around. I do find it pretty funny how everything bolted right up including the headlights using the same harness. I definately thought there would be more to it.

So does anyone know where that picture is from because I am also interested in the really fine mesh grill that is not a bolt over as well as the debadging.
