I've had my LT for about 4 months now and absolutely love it. I've owned Japanese and German cars and basically bought them for the status symbol most of them have become. Now I own American and have come to this - if for no reason other than driving the Tahoe - I am happy about coming to work. I kinda wish the commute was longer (Gas mileage would hurt but what the heck.). I love the solid feel underneath me, the power that is there when I need it and the comfortable ride. I could go on and on but I won't - does anybody else have similar feelings about their Tahoe?

P.S. - I love it when people tailgate me and ride along side of me to check out the Tahoe.

Got a Tahoe and lovin' it!

No hesitation problems?? Shifting??

Have only noticed a slight hesitation when in city traffic when I let off of the gas then reapply pressure. Kind of like the transmission having to adjust because it was down shifting then has to shift back up again. And I talking about split second - but I've noticed this in other vehicles too so I am not alarmed. When does yours happen?

It's the best vehicle I've owned in my short lifetime.  The smooth quiet ride, the ease of towing, the bells and whistles...if only it could fly and run on solar power!!!

Double AA.
I agree with your observations on the Tahoe... Excellent.  one of the best vehicles i have ever owned.  Even the LS, in my opinion, is adequately equipped and priced.  Decent mileage given the size of the engine and vehicle weight.  It is easy to "pimp out" and for those looking to ease their "carbon footprint"  FLEXFUEL capability.  Excellent work ZX.

I love my Tahoe as well - I got mine just over a week ago - I had the dealer put in leather and a factory nav and had a local car stereo place put in an aftermarket alarm with remote start and window roll up modules...

love it!!!!

My May '06 is great.  Some things I'd like to see added or done differently but all in all, love it.

I too have only owned Japanese vehicles and I am very impressed by the new Tahoes.  After test driving the Z71, I was so impressed I traded in my Infiniti QX4.

Got my '07 Tahoe LT3 in Sept. '06.  I've driven and owned all kinds of Japanese cars.  I've also owned a Dodge Ram 1500 before.  Currently, I just own the Hoe and a Dodge GC.  I looked at the '07 Tahoes for almost a year before I bought one.  Considering the relatively good mpg for the HP and size of the vehicle, the Tahoe is far superior to those other, so-called SUVs.  The nearest import competitor doesn't compare, in terms of power, proven durability, features, towing capability, gas mileage, and $$.  I also am very much sold on the OnStar system for it's convenience and peace of mind.  I didn't even consider the smaller SUVs against the Tahoe.  If I did buy one of those smaller imports, it wouldn't be for any of the reasons I bought my Tahoe.  I know others who have bought import SUVs and my arguments are always the same: they have less horsepower, less seating room, less towing capability, and probably cost about the same or in some cases, more than a fully equipped Tahoe.  Some get better gas mileage, but again, you're talking about a puny V6 engine -- even then, I wouldn't consider the difference in mpg significant.  Like I said, I also own a Dodge Grand Caravan which has a 3.3L V6.  On average, it gets 22 mpg on freeway trips, and in the Tahoe, I get about 17.5 mpg on the freeway trips.  Not much of a difference, in my book, and the Tahoe is a much more comfortable ride.  If I didn't like my Tahoe so much, then it wouldn't be my daily commuter and I wouldn't have already put ~16,800 miles in the last 10 months.
