I am building a 383 stroker and a friend of mine wants to buy it. He has a 1981 Monte Carlo that currently has a 6-cylinder and an auto transmission. I know we can get the engine to fit but will the engine bolt right up to the transmission or will something have to be changed? Any help is appreciated. Thank you...

Depending on what you've got on that 383 You might have to switch transmissions, the 383 will make too much power for that stock tranny, don't forget your going from a 6cylinder that makes probably 120rwhp to a 383 that will easily make over 210rwhp. The stock tranny "may" work for awhile "if" you can get it to bolt up, but there is no garuntee "if" it bolts up that it will even make it around the block if your friend has a "lead foot".
