Gas or Diesel 2008 HD2500?

I am going to be switching from a Ford to a chevy,  I was just wondering how many miles to the gallon the HD2500 gas and diesel was getting?  A little about me I currently have a 2005 F250 4x4 diesel with 305 tires.  I only pull my 30ft travel travel twice a year and the distance is not very far.  I average 15000 miles per year so I was wondering if I should get gas or diesel,  the price of diesel has gone up over 4.00 dollars here so I think I am leaning toward the gas engine but I am not sure I was just hoping someone with the gas engine could tell me what they are averaging to help me with my decision.  Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 2002 2500HD xcab 2wd with the 6.0L, 4.10 gears, and 265 a/t tires...I get 12-13mpg going back and forth to work (round trip is about 30 miles) and around 15mpg on the highway. Hope this helps you. 

same here 2500HD 6.0L 16-17 hwy at 65 - 70
i can say i had to turn mine in for a lil issue
so they gave me a 2500HD with the 6.6L in it and i went on a road trip
to NC 250miles  dont know milage was if i was going normal rate of speed
but at 85-90 most of that trip on I 95 i got 17 MPG at that speed
i can say i would switch to the 6.6L all day its what i wanted anyway
but i might try to trade mine off i dont know yet i do love my 6.0L thought
