02TrailBlazer

I have a 2002 Trailblazer that has recently started making a noise somewhere in the front end of the vehicle. The noise only occurs between 30 mph to 55 mph. It sounds like a "tinny" scraping noise. It is not in the brake system. Could it have anything to do with the front drive train? Recently moved up north from Florida, and started using 4-wheel drive. Noise began a few weeks later. Any possible problems that should be investigated?

have you checked your cv shafts where they go into your hub or into the front diff? Ive seen where rocks have lodged themselves making a scraping noise. you might try to recreate the noise with the vehicle jacked up and get a good look at things. caution, you might have a limited slip so make sure both back tires are off the ground and at least one of the front. good luck id like to know what you come up with.
