Hello all, I'm new to this forum and need some help in changing the fluids in my wifes tahoe.
Her truck is an 02 with 80,000k miles on it. I want to go to mobile 1 but don;t know if I should do it with that many miles on it. The truck runs great and have never had any problems with it since she bought it new. Also I'm trying to find out how much fluid is in the front and rear diff's. I would like to go to amsol severe gear there. And do I have to us GM autotrak 11 in the transfer case or is there anything else you would recomend. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Good Luck to all &nb sp; LAVABOY

Why would the miles prevent you from using Mobil 1? You should use only the specified lube in the transfer case. As far as the differential lube, I don't know how much they require, does the owner manual give you that information? I use Mobile synthetic in both of my differentials.

I have a 2005 Silverado Crew Cab 4X4 with possibly an identical drive train that you have. I will give you the capacities that are listed for my truck and for your purposes it ought to be close enough for you to estimate how much fluid you need to buy.
Front Differential 1.51 Quarts
Rear Differential 2.15 Quarts
Transfer Case (NP3) 2.22 Quarts (NP8, NP2 and NP1) 2.0 Quarts
Check with your GM Dealer to be sure you are getting the correct, updated transfer case fluid. I suggest you buy 1 Quart of additional Differential lube just in case.
