i know this is not a chevy engine but it is a gm product, but being as that it is the off topic forum i thought i would post it anyways and see if anybody could help me out or atleast give me some ideas.
being that i own a custom shop i do a lot of work on everything and anything.
I am building an oldsmobile 455 j block. the engine came out of a 73 delta 88. i will be dropping it into a 72 olds cutlass. i am looking to see if in one has any ideas as to what a good "engine recipe" would be.
i want it to to be very high end street and a little strip here and there. i need to know parts and everything that i would need to do in order to build it up.
as i said before it is going into a 72 olds cutlass with a TH400 tranny.
if anyone could help with ideas or atleast send me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

The 455 will not bolt up to that transmission. I'm not familiar with the transmission, but if it came bolted to a smallblock, it probably wont withstand the torque from the 455 for long. Thats the only advice I can come up with. I've never been familiar with Olds stuff....
