chevelle converted to Silverado??

I sank 8000 into a complete mechanical make over on my 73 chevelle last year, only to discover that the entire top of the car is rotted beyond repair due to a vinyl top. the car also needs all floor pans, trunk pans, the area around the back glass is rotted, around tail lights also, and quarter panel rust under the rear wheels... ive thought about trying to find a donor car but lately ive been thinking about another idea...tell me what you think....

I have been considering buying a truck to haul my boat or camper. I have a 92 silverado witha v6 and manual tranny. Could I take the 350/700R4 combo out of the 73 chevelle that i just installed and put it into the 92 truck?

Thanks, also ...will the corvette rims i have on my chevelle fit my truck?

The rims should fit. my buddy was going to give me some but I have 6 lugs. He also had an 06 mustang with a cervinis kit (awesome) but his stock rims fit my dads old ford truck and my moms pontiac aztek.
