The DIC in my son's 2004 Malibu Maxx generated the message to "Check Radio PAB" or something like it.
Any suggestions on what it might be for and how to remedy it?

Sorry, I now understand that the message from the DIC was "Check Radio DAV". I am guessing that it has something to do with the XM radio ...???
