cargo lamp

i have a 07 2500HD
new body style
 
i am trying to fig out how to get  my cargo light on without the interior lights coming on
y is this not working
i know with all past chevys iv had had no prob. doing that
 

Welcome to the forum!!! Is there no cargo light switch in the newer chevy's?

same thing happens in my 07 nbs silverado. the interior lights come on as well. wish there was a seperate cargo lamp light switch.

Went to Dealer today to ask about it and t hey said no way to do it guess ill have to put some under rail lights in or just go into the wiring and make the switch only opperate the cargo
 

Ive got an 07 and there is no way to do it, all lights come on when you hit the switch.
