Im building a 383 for my camaro, I want to know what would be the best kit to get. Im gonna put aluminum heads and a 8 pack intake on it. I was wondering wat would be the best cam, lifters, push rods, heads, and carbs for an engine like this. I live in benito, manitoba so i need to know where i can get parts the cheapest. ( i was thinking tiger automotive in saskatoon). Any and all info would be great.

thanks, jake

Well I think maybe a few more specs on what your looking for would help here.
  • What's your budget look like.
  • What's your RPM range
  • What will the motor be used for, street? strip?

I went with the Iron Eagle competition rotating assembly.  I had to notche the block for the 6" rods to clear.  I also went with Dart Aluminum heads with 64 cc combustion chamber for an 11:1 compression ratio.
