It's time to replace my stock tires on an 2003 Silverado (265 75r16). What are some good choices for me? I want the best. Mostly city driving and towing a 4500 pound boat. I occaisionally head back to the farm but most driving is done on the pavement. I do want something with good traction in the winter for when I head out skiing in the mountains. I do want an all season tire though.
I was looking at reviews on tire rack and the Pirelli Scorpion ATR caught my eye. I phoned a local dealer and he laughed at me saying the load rating was too high for my truck. Am I dreaming or is he a dick?
I can get some Michelin Cross terrain SUV's from the costco.
Anyone have a favorite?

I HAVE 2 SILVERADO TRUCKS. I AM RUNNING GOODYEAR WRANGLER SILENT ARMOR TIRES ON BOTH. THEY SEEM TO LAST FOREVER AND THE TRACTION IS UNBELIEVABLE! ONE IS A DAILY DRIVER (2006 CREW CAB 4WD) AND MY OTHER IS MY PLOW TRUCK (1989 SHORTBOX STEPSIDE) I HAVE NEVER BEEN STUCK AND THEY ARE THE BEST THAT I HAVE EVER HAD.

I am running bfg all terrain ko's and I hate them. I like the pro-comp line.
