I have an '04 silverado crew cab with automatic locks. Every time I use the remote to unlock the doors, or even use the switch on the driver's side, the back doors won't unlock. I have to physically reach over the seat and pull the lock forward to unlock each door. I received information from someone to check if the child safety locks were unlocked and yes they are. Can anyone give me any clue to resolve this problem?

This may sound too simple, but have you checked all of your fuses to make sure none of them are 'popped'?
If you double-click your unlock button on the key FOB does that work?
You may need to visit Mr Goodwrench - if you have <36k miles it might be under warranty.
