I think a friend of mine has an '07 w/o bodyside molding. I will check tomorrow and see if I can shoot a pic or 2

I have an '07 without the body side molding, it came that way. A couple of people have been like "Oh you have to get the side molding"... personally, i don't like them that much. It doesn't flow with the car that well. IMO it kinda just looks like they thought about it after they designed the car and just threw some regtangular pieces of plastic on.

For some reason, when i try to upload a picture... it causes an error. I'll send you a picture if you hit me up with your email.

I realize that the brochure is not a good reference source but it says that the side molding is standard on all models. Kind of wish mine hadn't come with it as already had two pieces replaced twice due to poor adherence.

I like mine. I guess if all liked the same thing, it would be a dull world.

Thanks for the pic. Not my cup of tea but that's OK. To each his own.

BTW w/o running boards or step tubes, you might consider front mud flaps as you will get a load of chips on the lower body.

I don't think I like it either. I could have sworn I have seen some without it at dealer. Is it standard on LS too?

Yes, according to sales brochure, it is standard on all models.

The side molding is a definite. Otherwise it's just too much flat naked area.

Here is a link to my photo page (I am a new member here, if this isn't allowed, please advise)

It shows our Tahoe the day we bought it without the molding. We later added it because it looked bare and I was concerned about door dings. The LS models come with the wheels we have, no body molding, black door handles and mirrors.

aha
I thought I saw some without. The Hybrid for next year is touring without it too. We'll see if it actually comes that way. Pic from adkev:

I am not so sure about that, I stopped by the stealership today and everyone of their LS's did not have door molding.

Well 07tahoe is correct, the dealership must have some old LS inventory.

I saw a black LT today on the way home from work without any moldings and de-badged and it looked very cheap.

well addkev, depending on the package (i'm guessing no mouldings on lower end trucks only) i think your red tahoe looks pretty sharp-could be 'cause it's sitting next 2 that beatiful Ram in your driveway (hahaha, just joking both trucks look great). i've only noticed 1 Tahoe around my area that didn't have the molding on it. i think it looks nice and smooth that way, but i like the shaved look. to each they're own i guess, it'd b nice if it were an option though, it'd save u the hassle of removing it-if u so desired. add some really nice aftermarket rims & rubber 2 your ride, and your truck will definitely not look cheap.

Thanks, us mopar guys gotta stick together. I love my truck it is my toy.
With wheels it would really change the look of the truck. The one I saw today had the 17" LT wheels and the smaller tires so that did make a difference.

So your saying the Tahoe looks good when compared to a dodge in the background. J/K

i saw this chrome side moulding on ebay, thought it looked kinda cool. i think it is a chromed plastic cover that goes over your existing moulding.

I looked at that too. I think it's a littel too big. The Eskys have a much smaller chrome piece along the top edge. That looks better I think.
