Hi, I am new to the forum, but have had an extensive mechanic background on planes and cars.
My son had me look at a 1986 Chevy Astro a few nights ago. It is in good condition but the A/C doesn't work. The owner/seller says he was told by his mechanic that it needs a compressor clutch replacement. He claims it is an easy job, but...
The truck has been converted to R134a. Does that make a difference when changing the clutch? Are different seals needed?
Has anyone ever changed a clutch on that pan-cake compressor? Does it require any special tools?
Thank In Advance, Freddie
